I cant believe we made it. Wish I had more info. What was the name of that bar inside Uncle Sam's where you can sit for a quiet chat with someone special. We also played at Kevin Elliot's Yellow Monkey in Williamsville, Big Daddy's Company Store on Main Street there was a bartender there who ate glass , The Scene in Tonowanda, Aliota's, McVan's, the Pine Grill. After about 30-minutes of playing, Valby could not hold back and ended up playing until 2am the best Dirt ever! It was funny being from Buffalo and living in So Cal. Oh and there was a large hole down main street which they said was going to be a subway but they lost funding at the time to either finish it or fill in the hole. I don't know the details. As a naive young teen, my buddy and I went to a place called the Billboard, mid to late sixties,a bar but more like an old converted theater. I live in Rochester now and have been sober for 22 years.

I would stop by on Friday after school and get a burger on his old fashioned grill. The name of the bar that had backgammon was No name's. . Johnnie offered wierd bacon sandwiches, no lettuce, no tomato, just bacon between two very large pieces of toasted white bread. You could always get served under 18 at most of these bars.

Guest 26-Oct-2011 19:04 I was there and partying from 1985 to 1991 and did a lot of damage during the summer! How I remember Rude Boys in the early-1980s. They also covered Genesis stuff. Like The Masthead, it was one of the closest to campus but we had to sneak across the hospital grounds to get there. A 16 ounce draft was 60 cents back then.
Thanks for the memories I really enjoyed them all. I used to tend bar there. Then you mention Caseys which I frequented now that you jogged my memory but don't know how I got there. Anyone remember the name of the bar on the five corners? I no longer drink, I have been sober for 22 years now, but I have many memories of some of the people on this Website.
